Theme ~ A Photo I Decided to Keep

Chosen by me, on behalf of Lew.

Here is the image I used for this week’s theme:

I take pretty much the same photos every year.  But I decide to keep them because it's a documentation of my life, what I've accomplished, and the fact that I can celebrate another year of having a garden.

Here are more typical garden photos from this year which I decided to keep...

Before planting...

Fernando getting compost on the beds for me...

New plants!

Little carrots are growing...

Herbs in my front yard garden...

Finally, who can resist a strawberry photo?

Since I already know what it is, I don't know if it seems like something it's not.  I'll show you the progression, from the (sort-of) beginning to the end result.

Yummy!

Theme ~ A New Beginning

Chosen by Mac.

After a long break, we Headbangers are back!  I'm glad I got out this past week to take some pictures; my camera has sat for quite some time and I really needed to get back out shooting.  To celebrate new beginnings--the new beginning that spring brings--here is the image I used for this week’s theme:

Daffodils in vertical form:

Here are some other signs of a new beginning...

Sun on leaf edge.

Lenten rose.

Blue catmint.

All these were taken on a quick walk at The Morton Arboretum.  I hope you enjoyed this glimpse into spring and the new colorful world of spring!

Theme ~ Where Am I?

Chosen by Tom.

This week's theme will yield a pretty easy answer, so I'll just let my photos do the talking.  Here's the image I used for my header.  I shot it with my macro lens looking through the "forest" at ground level.

Take a tour of where I am...

You (hopefully) obviously guessed that I'm in my garden.  Here's an overhead view from the deck of our pool, which I've used for years to take overview photos of my garden.  This photo, though, is the last of its kind--our pool is finally in the process of being taken down (a couple of brutal winters + no money to repair the damage = no more pool), and the deck is coming down today.

Hope you enjoyed the tour!

Theme ~ Curves

Chosen by Lew.

I have time for a quick post for this week's Header Challenge...

To show off the most curves, here's the (slightly weird and unusual) image I chose for my header:

Making enchiladas in bulk.

Here are more curves, hopefully all easily spotted in each image.  :)

That's all I have time for this week.  The hearts of my fellow Headbangers and me go out to our dear Kathy this week, and we pray she feels our hugs and comfort from across the sea to across the country.

Treasuring life's moments,

Christine
