365 Project -- # 78-84

What an interesting week.  I am tired of the going, going, going!  I'm a stay-at-home mom and I like to stay at home.  Not all the time, mind you, but when I go out day after day I get worn out.  I have faithfully used my Ellie, though, and captured some great images!  Enjoy my week with me.

Looking up at this old building, I was struck by the worn look of the brick.  Yet it has endured, because the brick is strong.

[78] March 19 -- Still standing

Another amazing sunset in suburbia, complete with power lines and water tower, stores, and traffic.  The Lord sure does paint some incredible colors in the sky each evening.

We helped friends move from their Chicago home, and I captured this shot of the front of their house.

Um, Jacob learned his lesson.  And he successfully pulled over into a parking lot.  At least he wasn't texting or talking on his cell phone.

[81] March 22 -- Keep both hands on the wheel

I went to a great photography seminar on Wednesday, but forgot my organizer!  I took notes in columns on the schedule they handed out, rotating the page at the end of each column.  I filled both sides and am still on information overload!

We drove back downtown on Thursday.  The trip required coat, scarf, mittens, and long johns, *shiver*.  Jacob did some research on some criminal cases, while Joseph, Danny, and I had lunch at Chipotle (major yum), then visited the Chicago Cultural Center again at the urging of my friend who insisted we missed some spectacular sights.  She was right!  Workmen were cleaning Preston Bradley Hall, but when we peeked in, one of them smiled and motioned for us to come on in and enjoy the sight.  I lay on the floor on my back for the below shot, which does not do justice at all to the grandeur of the Tiffany glass dome and its surroundings.  (You can view all the images I captured at the Chicago Cultural Center by clicking here.)

Danny wanted to peek into the Vivian Maier photography exhibit, so I shot a few more images in that photo gallery.  What an amazing piece of camera equipment!

Although I have loved capturing unique and interesting shots this past week, I'm looking forward to some in-home photography for a while.  :)
