Still Stuck!

I was stuck on May flowers for a long time.  Yeah, it's still May (in my picture galleries, anyway--I'm trying to catch up!), but it really is almost June!

Hey, they're flowers--and soon to be fruit!  (Tomatoes!)

Stuck on May Flowers

May flowers are beautiful, especially after a long Chicagoland winter filled with white, gray, and blah.  The other reason I'm stuck on May flowers is because I took so many pictures of them.  :)

Herbs, Weeds, Chives and Leaves

Sometimes a spring garden is a little messy.  Plants are starting to pop up, but the weeds also make their appearance.  I've brought Ellie out to the garden on many an occasion, simply to document the progress in each year's garden, but also to capture the beauty that only a macro lens can see.  Here is one of those occasions in my mid-May garden.

Don't worry--we've taken care of the weeds.  And the garden looks a lot different, now that it's July.  :)

Lost In The Little Things

Getting lost can be no fun.  But sometimes it's a beautiful thing.

If I know my time limits, I don't mind wandering a bit.  I had been visiting a new outdoor portrait session location, and I had already taken several preliminary photos to acquaint myself with this  beautiful park so I could be ready for a smooth portrait session.

Once I finished my location photos, I naturally attached my macro lens and got lost.  I started with the colorful bark on one tree, then progressed to leaves and flowers--the last ones of summer.
